Talysis II at he Optofonica Lab exhibition, Musuems Night
Early November 2010 saw a visit to Amsterdam to take part in Museum Night – an annual event whereby virtually every gallery in Amsterdam opens its doors to 2am to the public. My video feedback piece, Talysis II, was included as part of the Optofonica Lab exhibition. Its metallic neon palette found a good home in the space – where luminescent décor and saturated lighting was used to denote an air of rave-like futurism. Talysis II, the first in a series of artworks investigating software simulated video feedback, was originally made for Art.ficial 3.0 in 2006.
Optofonica is an art-science laboratory engaged in the research, production and dissemination of artworks investigating photonics, acoustics, fluid dynamics, quantum chemistry & cognitive science based in Amsterdam.
